Janice - Group training and individual training

Emily Eaton is the first trainer I have had who I feel has had my total health at heart. I have had trainers in the past, but I always felt like they were somewhere else when I was training with them (not listening, not watching, on their phones etc.). Emily is always focused on you. When I first met Emily (5 years ago), I was in the worst shape of my life and had no stamina, balance, strength or self-esteem. Emily always made me feel welcomed and that it would get better. She is a compassionate person, always ready to listen and always has a way to get you where you want to be. She can adapt any exercise to suit what works for you, keeping in mind any injury or health issues you may have. She has helped me to get far beyond where I thought I could ever be physically and has helped me to gain so much more confidence. I would recommend Emily to anyone of any age. She is the best!

Ian - Group Training and individual training

I have always had an “all in” mindset, so when I exercise, I train hard. I would fall into a trap (like many people do) where I would start working out and train for 2 hours every day for a week straight, and then I would crash and not go to the gym for weeks. The main reason why I began working with a personal trainer was to help me develop consistency as well as create a sustainable routine. When I started working with Emily, she explained to me the importance of taking rest days and how the program she created was going to progress in order to give the the results I wanted. She always has a positive attitude and made me believe that I could achieve my goals. If I was ever having a bad day, she supported me by holding me accountable to my goals rather than how I was feeling that day. While working with Emily, she consistently asked me about my sleep and nutrition habits. I found that while I was training with her not only did I sleep better, but I had more energy throughout the day which lead to me eating at more consistent times throughout the day. In terms of what makes Emily valuable, it’s her ability to kindly push you to complete the workout. When I am tired and want to give up/tell her “I’m done”, she smiles at me and pumps me up in a way that makes me want to finish the routine. If you are someone like me, I know Emily can help you too.

Saya - Group Training

I started working with Emily 3 years ago, just when I was looking for other options for exercising. Back then, I was only doing yoga and my body was definitely craving some strength training but I had no idea where to begin. I was a bit hesitant in jumping into weight training with a trainer but Emily proved me wrong! Emily is extremely attentive and caring. She listens to your concerns, works with you and gives you appropriate advice. She is mindful of your injury and/or soreness- she asks if you have any concerns at the beginning of every class so you never feel like you pushed yourself too hard or did something that wasn’t good for your body! Emily really perfected my form in the past 3 years so I don’t get injured easily anymore! I am so happy I started my journey with Emily- I’ve never felt stronger, healthier and happier!

Peter - Individual training

Emily is an amazing trainer. I have been working with her on and off for the past 5 years and she has helped me to think about fitness as a “marathon” rather than a “sprint”. As a motivational speaker and business owner I am constantly on the move. I find myself getting into really great habits, and then a work trip or vacation throws me off track. Emily is always very patient and understand that “life happens”. She takes the time to explain strategies to stay on course towards my goals and keep me accountable. As a part of my motivational speaking I go around to schools in the area and talk about the importance of goal setting and teamwork. Emily embodies this mantra and supports me while working on my overall health and wellness. Emily also trains with my wife Jenny and has become a close friend. We know she is there to support us and always greets us with a smile.

Emma - Semi-private training with mother

I started training with Emily by joining in with my mom’s sessions. Emily was great at personalizing our sessions to highlight our different strengths and preferences, and making sure we were both challenged. I also train in karate, and have found that personal training has been a great supplement to my training in the dojo. I find it works my muscles in a different way, and I have had real improvement in my overall strength.

When I became pregnant, I wanted to continue training as long as I could. With Emily’s guidance, I had the confidence that I was going to do so in a safe and controlled way, with modifications always available. It was not uncommon for me to come in and say “Oh! I don’t think that’s going to work today” and Emily was great at finding an alternative I was comfortable with to keep me moving. 

Emily has an amazing sunny personality and is an awesome motivator. She makes working out a mental break, and a good physical challenge. She is great at understanding personal training’s role in overall health, and truly cares about her clients as a whole person. I couldn’t recommend her highly enough!

Jacqui - Semi-private training with daughter

I started training with Emily individually and then also as a group of 2 with my daughter Emma.  Emily was always sensitive to our individual needs and celebrated our different strengths.  Through my years spent under her teaching, I was able to gain muscle that I badly needed and was able to complete my first half marathon at age 58, a year and a half ago.  So many of the activities I enjoy would not have been possible without Emily’s coaching.  

Emily has a calm and compassionate way about her that has you progressing without realizing it. One day you turn around and are doing things you never thought you could. 

Emily cares about the whole person.  Nutrition, strength, flexibility, balance, stamina and mental health are all part of the program. I always felt better coming out of a workout than I did going in!  She is fun, creative and a wonderful person and I am so grateful for her entering my life.

Kesh - Individual training

I started personal training with Emily three years ago. I have never felt as welcomed and comfortable with any other trainer as I did with Emily. She was always there to answer any questions I had and push me to the next level. Today at 66 years old, I feel younger , stronger and full of energy. I lost 20 lbs and gained muscle, strength and power. Emily created a program which helped me to strengthen the muscles around my knees and it is very important to have strong legs and knees when you are over 60. Now I can run up the stairs without any pain! Emily is truly amazing and very caring. She lives and breathes fitness for all ages.
